BAR HARBOR — A new spa project has been completed for residents of Birch Bay Retirement Village’s Safe Harbor memory-care neighborhood.

“All of our residents have a private bathroom and shower,” said Peter Sullivan, Birch Bay’s executive director. “For residents needing to age in place with advancing physical care needs, we find that a spa tub and larger handicap accessible shower gives us the ability to have their needs met in a more pleasant and therapeutic environment. The spa room was thoughtfully designed with aromatherapy and soothing soundscapes.”
